• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shifting

At what RPM range are you shifting your F3 SE6?

thank you
Your shift rpm depends on your rate of acceleration and/or your desired rate. Moving at a leisurely rate (not speed), the engine has adequate tq to shift at only 2500 rpm. However, as your rate (not speed) increases, shifting as high as the redline is in order. As long as the engine oil ( not the coolant) is up to operating temp, the rpm won't hurt anything. NOTE: it probably takes the oil at least 5-7 miles to get up to temp even though the coolant gets there in a mile or so.

Depends. As the group riding that I do is usually more leisurely, shifting about 3K seems good. When I'm getting on it, in the 5K to 7K range, as the rate of change reduces as one approaches red line, keeps it moving quite nicely.

p.s. I'm usually smiling more as the RPM's go up ;)

Going on 15K miles on my 1330. I am finding it seems to have the smoothest shifts at 3000 rpm's. If I am in a hurry, I will run it up to 4000 or a bit higher.

I do it when the Eco Mode tells me to, unless i'm in a hurry or have an itch to be young. lol
