• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rode my new cognac 2014 RTS SE6 home yesterday!:yes: Going out this afternoon for short ride, then Monday heading over Chinook Pass past Mt Rainier for lunch. Only farkle so far is third brake light on trunk and BRP backrest. First big trip Spyders In The Redwoods. As new 2014 owners know, shifting is like butter trying to get used to lower RPMS. Seems to like 2500 to 3000. I've read how people don't like it but will try Eco mode just to see how it is. Love the floorboards and the blacked out look. Was worried cause I'm a chrome person but enjoy the new look. Seems to corner better as well, tighter turns. This review from a non mechanical person, just what I experienced as different. Looking forward to the rest of the summer and awesome rides. :joke:

:yes: I love the blacked out look myself. I guess if brake dust was chrome colored I might like chrome but until then the black is much easier to keep clean:yes: You need to try the Eco Mode for yourself and then you'll understand why few like it.

:congrats: to Schnauzermom!

Ann - you know, I'm sure, that it doesn't really keep it cleaner. :joke: You just don't see it so much! :roflblack: But that is the best reason I've seen for blacking out the wheels, fer shur.

I don't even remember how to put mine into ECO mode.

:congrats: on your new ryde. Another Cognac in the 1330 club.

You are going to like it even better once you put a few more miles on it. You are spot on with the shift points. They take some getting used to. Also feel that Eco mode is somewhat of a waste.

Enjoy your new ryde. :yes::yes:

Patti,
Lay your left thumb onto the "Mode" button for about three seconds... :thumbup:
Then; EVERYTHING will seem to sloooowwwwwww downnnnnn............ :shocked:

Thanks, Bob. But don't you figure if I wanted to use ECO mode I'd have looked it up? Not a dig, but I was just trying to say I don't care for ECO mode!nojoke

Thrilled With Fuel

So put about 100 miles on it yesterday afternoon and I'm thrilled with the gas mileage. Normally, as y'all know, at about 120-150 miles need to refuel. Right now I'm at 100 miles and still have a little over 1/2 tank left!! Wasn't expecting that so soon, thought I would have to break it in first after reading other folks experiences. Tomorrow will be a day ride of 200 or so miles. Actually excited about getting gas!!! This is great with hubby on his Harley. Won't have to stop for gas so much while he could keep going.
