• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went out to western MA to pick up my Spyder this morning. I'm glad I decided to trailer it home. Today was hot, almost too much heat all at once. I was toast by the time I got the truck and trailer home. I can't fathom how tired I would have been riding it home when I'm not used to riding for very long at all.

Got the plates on, registration tucked away. Been reading the owner's manual. Can't wait for the sun to come up tomorrow. I'm going to hop on and go, go, go!!!

I appreciate SpyderLovers and all the info I discovered here because this forum was a major factor in my finally getting a Spyder. So, thanks Lamont and everyone else.

Happy Spydering!!

(Who did you end up getting it from out here?)

John, it was the '08 Yellow SM5 listed on Craigslist in Montague, MA. The owner was a Nate Basterache. It's in pristine clean, absolutely beautiful, perfect condition. Plus it has a number of accessories I want already on it. Ordered my CHAD from NMN yesterday. Should be here Monday. I've got to get it up to my local dealer early in the week to get it inspected. But I've got 10 days from registration to do that.

I"m so unbelievably happy I can't stand it!!!

Oh, that's right, I forgot. (Old age...):banghead:

I think you'll like the CHAD, especially with our varied weather around here.

I"m so unbelievably happy I can't stand it!!!

We know that feeling! Enjoy!

Great news, Marilyn. Make that first trip to a parking lot. An hour or two of practice unencumbered by traffic makes a world of difference. If you do the exercises in the book, you will feel at home in no time. Don't expect it to be deserted, though...the Spyder always draws a crowd.

Good idea Scotty!! A little PLP never hurt. I even have a batch of tennis balls all cut in half ready to go as markers.

Will do!

SpyderLover now SpyderOwner - Woo Hoo!

Congrats, Marilyn! I notice you are from NH. Sounds like a Spyder trip to Mount Washington could be in your future (after you have practiced a bit, of course)! :2thumbs:
