• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The camper that is!:D Thought I was going to receive some actual step by step build pics but a slight miscommunication messed that up. Oh well.

So, I need to work in a road trip sometime next week to Elkhart to pick it up. I'm going to take my truck because I'm sure there is going to be some fine tuning of Spyder & trailer. I'll report back when I get her going down the road behind three wheels.

Thanks, just a bit over 4 hundred pounds and a toungue weight of 58ish pounds. A bit over specs but I've seen bigger trailers towed so, fingers crossed. :opps:

Very nice..!!

that is sweet..:2thumbs: should be fine especially on the flatlands...will have to let us in on the maiden voyage...

Weight

I checked online, they state the the dry tongue weight is 54 lbs., more than BRP recommends. :banghead:

And if it is 400 lbs empty, if you put gear in it your going to go over the total tow weight too!

It's not the ability to pull that amount of weight it's the ability to stop!

Good bad or ugly I will know in a couple of weeks. I'll report back whichever way it turns out.

I'm fairly confident that I'm starting with a better platform than these guys. (not Harley bashing) Three contact patches and three brakes VS two.

You will be fine. It is not that excessive. Just remember to start to slow down early and don't follow too close in case someone slams on the brakes.

Looks great. I am sure you will enjoy it.

It looks very nice; only 1 question. why did you pick the dark outside color? I would have guessed a lighter color would make it cooler inside. That said, it will be nice to just pull over to catch a nap on a long trip!

To keep the stress level down on the site, don't tell us you put 200 lbs of stuff in the trailer and towed it 1,000 miles... or so.

1) Honesty, I just think it's going to look really nice behind a black Spyder. I did give the heat absorption issue some thought though, but, vanity won out.:D

2) I don't think my wife is quite two hundred pounds. Oh no he wouldn't! :lecturef_smilie::roflblack:

Appreciate the encouraging words guys!

Where you gonna put the AC Unit? I bet it will be fine with the cooler weather. Hope all goes well with the trip.

It was an option that I opted out of for two reasons. Weight and I like fresh air sleeping over being closed in. I can envision nights though where I may regret this line of thought.
