• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

shell oil

Here's what I use in my 2012 RT.

Good choice. We ran that in our 998s as well and it held up very well.

Sorry but I forgot where I read this ..........but the only Full Synthetic Oil for Motorcycles that has less " Molybdenum " ( which is BAD for wet clutches like ours ) is Amsoil

I've been using Rotella T6 in my 2012 RS SM5 with no slippage or problems at all..

The SM5 is a bit more forgiving than the SE5. But many have had clutch slippage issues with this oil. With so many other great choices available, I always recommend not using Rotella in the 998. A new clutch will cost you more than a whole lot of oil changes.
