There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hey everybody, i wanted to know if any has or has ever had a Shark Bluetooth Motorcycle intercom.
I was looking at the SHKLXMBT688IL which is a 6 Bluetooth intercom system. http://www.amazon.com/SHKLXMBT688IL...h-Interphone/dp/B004P449QI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_1
I wanted to know if any has used this model or has any input on it. To me the price seems pretty reasonable and has decent reviews.
the other model i was looking at was the shkv8, which is a new model that shark is making with unlimited users. http://www.amazon.com/Multiple-intercom-headset-motorcycle-firefighting/dp/tech-data/B006OPSJSK
the shkv8 is brand new with no reviews yet, it has some kind of new microphone system similar to what the army is using i believe.
the website says...

"Novel bone conduction earphone devise (the newest bone conduction technology breaks through the effect of high decibel environment noise to provide clearer communication quality)"

I wanted to know if anyone is has used a system similar to this and if you have any feedback on it or the company.
the microphone looks like it would go around your neck.
To me the reviews and the price seem pretty favorable and the systems all come in Sets which is nice for me and my fiance.

Thanks for all the information and feedback.

I have a shark, I purchased it here on SL from another ryder. My 2 up and I use it for phone, music and person to person talk.

I have yet to use it with other riders, so I can only speak to music, phone and talking to the sexy lady up on me from behind (that doesnt sound right...) And I am super pleased with it currently, I am sure the other options (both wired and not wired) are soild out there, however, this one was inexpensive and worked well for Sonja and I!

Happy hunting!

Thanks for the info, i just wonder how it would work with 3+ people.
if it would have it so only 2 people can talk at once,
or if all 6 of you can talk and hear each other without switching channels.

Thanks again...

I've been using shark systems for a couple of years, although not perfect for the price I love them. Unless they come out with something new you will have to switch between riders by pushing a button. Intercom is a bit noisey and rider to rider realisticly maybe 1/2 mile line of site is about the max range. What I love about them is easy pairing with most phones I listen to mp3 music from my phone and GPS from my Android and phone calls come in perfect overriding what ever you are listening to. One day I talked to my Grandson and Son in Germany for about 15 miles on I44 at 75-80 MPH. Sound quality of the music is excellent. I did ruin one unit riding about 30 miles in heavy rain but at around 100 dollar for two unit I did not mind replacing them.

I email the company and they said the new unit the shkv8 you can talk to more than one rider without hitting any buttons.
the thing is the unit is pretty new and there aren't any reviews on it yet, and with the new bone conduction mic im a little hesitent to buy it before i hear more about.
if anyone else knows any more about shark or the units, let me know.

Thanks again.

I would take a look at the various products from Sena.. like their SMH10 units. They really work well and are the most versatile on the market IMO.....

I have looks into there products, the main selling point with the shark product was the price.
I want to keep the price low so my friends will buy them with me, and for 60$ a person... They seem to be a good deal.

Stay clear of Gooddeals and their products, they are scammers. If you have any problems at all you will be in a world of pain trying to get them to do anything about it. They will substitute products so you never know what you will find when you open the box. I was stupid enough to deal with them 3 times over 2 years and every order was the wrong product. I have contacted the consumer protection service and hope to some serious changes.

Regards,

Good to know, if I do end up buying it I will purchase it direct from shark off of eBay.

Thanks for the info.

I agree I purchased there stereo. It works, but is crap, nothing like advertised. Don't expect to return if your not satisfied. I gave up on the stereo. So my good deal made the one that works cost more then it had to.

Hi Lewin,

The problem with bone conduction systems is that they have to be right by your jawbone or the message gets garbled. idk about you but at high speeds nothing stays by my face lol. Have you checked out UCLEAR? They have military technology that uses bluetooth so it doesn't require a boom or anything. That system might be a better fit for you. They have a 6 person system coming out in July. Hope that helps :) http://uclearstore.com/
