Much needed rain today. Supposed to be back in the 70’s this weekend.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...Well this is the first day of Autumn. The Summer of 2022 is now history. Yes, where did the days go?
Currently 59°F with some clouds. Yesterday we were at 90°F and today's high only 64°F.
We didn't get any rain because of the heat.
Today's numbers are 64°F and 41°F.
What a change of temperature.

Happy first day of Autumn. Like Little Blue said, where did the summer go?
Cold front coming down from the North. Temps are currently 69 with a predicted high of 72. Thats almost 25 degrees less than yesterday. Going back up to 88 tomorrow. Going to feel cool today. We have some SL members from WI coming to visit and go for a ride today. We are going to show them some nice riding country. The trees here are still mostly green, but some are taking on a yellowish glow.
Partly sunny today, but should be great for a nice ride.

Here in VT. the temps in the 60's, cloudy. Last night, and early this morning we had thunder showers. A cold front moved from through this morning from NW to SE brought rounds of thunderstorms this morning. A trailing trough of low pressure will come in behind the front with a few scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. Temps will start out mild, but will fall throughout the day through the 60's and 50's.
A few scattered showers may linger into the night and there also may be a few snowflakes flying around in the higher elevations by Friday morning. Then on for the first day of fall, it will feel like fall, Temps in the low to mid 50's- even in the upper 40's in some of the usual colder pockets. Friday will give way to increasing sunshine in the afternoon.

I didn't show up for our regular Thursday group ride today. There are rain and thundershowers in the area. Guess I'm a wimp or spoiled, or both. The group members are mostly 10-15 years younger than me and ride on the aggressive side (for me). Interested to see the ride report this evening to see how many went. It's currently 85 with 70% humidity. Heading for a high of 91 before afternoon rain showers cool things down. By tomorrow we will be back to clear skies and 95+ degrees.
Last evening, between rain showers, I went for a cruise around the neighborhood in my golf cart. It was 90 degrees, and the humidity was about the same. The humidity is what gets to me the most. Just stepping outside, the air feels "thick". Like being wrapped in a warm wet blanket. I usually cruise for a little over an hour, sometimes stopping to visit with neighbors. Last night cruising was shortened in order to get out of the sauna-like Arizona evening and back into my air-conditioned little home. Stay safe..... Jim

9/23/22 Friday Weather News
....All I can say is this is a very chilly start for me.
Currently 45°F with some clouds. Going to be a crazy weather day. I have a little more yard work to get done. So I have a cooler day for fun. .......:spyder:
Today it's 64°F with clouds and maybe a little sunshine on the side. Low of 51°F.
No rain in the forecast.
Ryde when you get the Time and Always be Safe.

Today's temps here in Vt. were 50's, cloudy.
Some of the higher elevations last night got a taste of winter( one of our own local mountains Sugarbush, (off topic: I know that some of you ski at Sugarbush on this site) back on topic, tonight temps in the 30's or 40's. BRRRR!:roflblack: Tonight will be clear.
Tomorrow, the temps in the 60's and sunny. Then on Sunday the temps back in the 40's or 50's. ( off topic, a good day to do things inside).
Next week the temps in the 50's & 60's those are the high temps.
(off topic: the trees are starting to show there colors).

Now with the sunshine you can not tell we received any rain.
Today high of 75'F with mostly sunshine. Low 59'F.
Sunday 68'F with clouds, low of 59'F.
No rain in the weekend forecast here in Indiana.

The local BoM's been forecasting a heap more rain &/or thunderstorms every day in the recent past (we've copped a Third La Niña compounded by a Negative Indian Ocean Dipole.... 
) so in response to the forecast I've organised to do other 'wet weather' activities instead of riding. I can't really ride in the rain like I normally would atm, cos while Buster, my new Assistance Dog, weighs in at 3kg just like Max, my last Assistance Dog did; Buster is long & lanky & likes to stretch out where Max was compact & loved to sit neatly &/or curl up.... so none of my tank bags or the back seat pet bags/crates are long/wide enough to fit Buster in the wet/cold! Sure, he can sit in the tank bags on fine days; put his behind in the seat bag or sit half in the open top crate on fine days; but he can't comfortably curl up in any of them to get out of the weather on not-fine days! :sour: But despite the BoM repeatedly forecasting heavy rain/thunderstorms, we've actually had some pretty good days - days that would've been great riding days.... if only I hadn't commited to yet another wet-weather activity?! :banghead:
And today looks like being the same - the BoM is forecasting heavy rain from mid morning, but I don't know where they're pulling that forecast from, and they've got it wrong for the last two days! Today, they're forecasting a min temp of 6°C, max of 16°C, & a high to very high likelihood of heavy rain/thunderstorms from mid morning.... yet the sun is shining & already it's 14° C with nary a cloud on the horizon or the Met maps! :gaah: I don't wanta get Buster s oaked & cold this early in his career, & maybe turn him off ryding as a result.... but the weather looks sooo good! :cus:

Yesterday we had a high of 103 and overnight low of 77 here in the desert S.W. Currently it's 95 with a humidity of 22%. We're heading for a high of 103 again today. The wind is at 4 MPH and there are no clouds. Mother Nature hasn't received the message that it's supposed to be Fall here in the desert S.W. But she'll get it soon. It seems we usually change seasons suddenly. One day we need cooling air conditioning, and the next, it's time to fire up the furnace. Stay safe..... Jim

hyea:...Welcome back from the cooler temperatures of the Indiana weather. Currently 52°F, with sunshine and lots of blue sky. Several of the Indiana Farmers have already started the harvest of their crops.
Enjoyed some great 'Ryde Times'.

...Man, this morning it was cold 41°F. I don't know about you but I am ready for the warmer temperatures.
Yes I know that this season will pass and then we get winter. Just not a fan of the Cold Temperatures anymore.
I will let you people be that enjoy your cold temperatures. I will go to the warmer locations.

Hurricanes can and are major issues for all involved.
I have never experienced this problem but I have experienced flooding issues.

.... Good Morning and Welcome to a sunny day here in Indiana. Currently 50°F with blue sky. Indiana Farmers have been in full swing for the last three days. Most are doing their corn, but some are working their beans. Not sure what this means but I am sure someone knows.
The leaves are dropping off quickly from several trees. I have 3 trees that are changing the colors of the leaves.
The morning temperatures are starting out on the cooler side.
High 65°F with sunshine, low 40°F.

The desert S.W. is having a typical day for this time of year. It is mostly sunny with a few high clouds here and there. The high will be 96 and the low overnight will be in the low 70s. Humidity is 32% and we have a 3MPH breeze. I have a few domestic chores to do today so no time to ride. But I will find a little time to soak in the pool this afternoon. Stay safe..... Jim

When the first day of fall hit, it seems like someone flipped the switch.
It has really been fall. Low seventies predicted all week. Last night got down to 44. The heat went on about 5:00 AM last night.
Blue sky days, but a definite fall feel to the breezes. Guess I am aclimated now. 70 feels cold. In Alaska we were lucky to get 4 days of 70, so that felt very warm. :dontknow:

Where did the Time go? It seems that the Days just fly by very fast. My Mother use to say, 'when you get my age everything speeds up and look out'. Currently 42°F with clear sky.
