• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sensible gun control

I think it was pulled since its sole purpose was to provoke an argument. Ironic that you'd provoke people who carry guns . . . but it is virtual, so there's no courage there.

No, it was to continue a discussion on 2nd amendment rights since this thread had become diluted with completely unrelated posts. There have been two threads recently on this topic, including this one, neither of which was pulled even though they were obviously designed to invite comments and opinions. Somehow mine was objectionable, possibly because it was thoughtful and factual instead of outright inflammatory.

You are free to think whatever you want of me; I'll not respond in kind.

I'm also not be posting anymore on this topic. If anyone is interested in contacting me about it, there is always PM.

Apparently not. I started a thread but Bob had it removed by the moderator. No explanation. I think the 2nd amendment trumps the 1st amendment on this forum.
You are laboring under a misconception that I'll be happy to dispel for you... :D

This is not a democracy, and you have no First Amendment rights in here. This is Lamont's sandbox, and we're here only because we follow HIS rules. nojoke
we enjoy good humor, technical information, bad humor, stories about rides and events, questionable humor, reviews of the latest farkles, tasteless humor (:yikes:), some news, discussions about various ways to improve our bikes, and the occassional bit of mildly adult humor.
:lecturef_smilie: We don't like arguments!
Of course they happen: it's unfortunate, and we try to work things out amongst ourselves.
But we NEVER try to start a thread for the sole purpose of starting a ruckus.

Three words,

UtahPete and ignore list. I'm a happy person.
Thank you N.R.A. !! Sorry, more than 3.

I'm not crazy about the idea of open carry, but since it's legal I'll not fight it. But I did see a guy this evening that makes me wonder what are some people thinking? I was in Baskin Robbins when a couple came in. The first thing I noticed was the pair of handcuffs hanging off his belt on his backside. Then I saw two magazines in their holsters, and finally saw the pistol in its holster. Now I can see why a pro open carry dude would carry a pistol, but why the handcuffs and two additional magazines? There was nothing I saw that made me think maybe he was an off duty police officer, and anyway his cuffs were not carried the same way I see police carry them. Having that much ammo and the cuffs made me trust his ability to think clearly in a desperate situation a whole lot less than if he had only a pistol.

Oh, oh. You're getting kind of racy now. I'd post another pic regarding the fur lining, but after my last one was pulled, I'd probably get a time out this time.

I've been thinking a lot about this Bob. I hate to admit it but you are right and I was wrong. Sorry.
