• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I do not care about the chrome, the bling, I just ride...I need help or suggestions with highway pegs, floor boards front and back, do they make transformers for these spyders,

I also purchased the trailer and lots of xtra tour accessories, is there more out there and who offers it....

I am trying to make decisions to get this stuff ordered. just had gel put in seat today....thanks nudels

All depends on how much money you have and how handy you are. I will never have an RT without the VTC http://vertikatrykescanada.com floorboards again, and I like but not love my Corbin seat. I probably could have just changed the settings on my stock shocks, but I fool myself by saying weee around the corners with my Elka shocks. Heat shield from spyderpops, you need that, and the belt tensioner from smooth spyder makes things a bit more comfortable. I could go on and on but I don't want to overwhelm you. Get with one of the groups in your area, there are plenty of folks who would be happy to help.
Congrats on joining us:welcome: we have been waiting for YOU!!!!

"Functional" farkling... :2thumbs:
'Boards and pegs; we've got a lot of quality vendors here as supporters that can set you up right!
What other kinds of touring goodies are you looking for? Driving lights? Rear racks? Luggage to fit the bags and trunks?
Welcome aboard! :welcome:

Teddy & I would like to say Congrats on the New Ryde & Welcome to the SpyderHood

:congrats: & :welcome:

As stated by others, the home page has ALL of our supporting vendors listed and they should be able to dispose of any and all income you have to make your machine truly yours and there's many different ways to go about it. Lamont, the site Admin makes & sells NBVs (No Bad Vibes) highway-pegs with unique brackets that make for an easy install and they look great as well. There's also SEAL Floorboards as well as the aformentioned Vertika boards, all depends on how much $$ you want to spend, from a couple hundred to a couple thousand:shocked:

You've found the :firstplace: site on the www for ANYthing & EVERYthing :spyder: related, so Welcome to the SpyderHood:cheers:

:welcome: to the fun. I have added seal floorboards, extended brake pedals, extra lights, and a Corbin seat & backrest to one of my RT's. The 2nd RT has all the above except for a different seat--but that is in the plans for next riding season.

IMO: the RT is set up pretty good for touring as is, and does not need a lot of extra help. On your list, you might add some quality riding gear if you do not already have it. Farkles are nice though.

Let us know how far you go with the farkles.

The Utopia driver's backrest & KewlMetal highway brackets with Kury pegs made my Spyder into a true long distance rider for me. See my photos of how I positioned the highway pegs:

I weigh 300+ pounds and can stand on these brackets for as long as I like, which allows blood to flow again. Because my legs aren't too long (30"), this setup only raises me about 1-1/2", which is fine. Knees are straight and I can lean against the Utopia backrest and ride, one hand or two, for as long as I want without stress.

These two accessories made ALL the difference to how long I can stay in the saddle.
