I've been enjoying my '09 SE5 since late March and I'm starting to make it my own. I've added a Cal-Sci Windshield & CanAm custom grip with the billet handlebar inserts. The original owner had already upgraded this Spyder with a tank bag, trunk liner insert, fog lights, custom seat and the Yosimura exhaust. I'm thinking seriously about making 3" or 4" handlebar risers my next addition to my Spyder. However, my mechanic/shop skills are not such that this is a project that I would perform myself. Where do you go to get something like this done? Dealership? Machine shop? From pictures I've seen, it looks like you're cutting off the ends of the handle bars, attaching the risers to the remaining stub, then putting the the handlebar/grip ends into the upper portion of the riser. I live in the Phoenix, AZ area. I want this to be done right and to look professional.
