Seat wiring

Just noticed there is some wiring that goes under the seat, anyone know what its for? Im not aware of the seat being heated.

That is a passenger sensor so the spyder can make adjustments to accommodate 2 up

that also activates the switch for passenger heated grips and audio controls

And if you push the mode and push to talk buttons simultaneously it activates the passenger ejection seat!:yikes:

FYI

BRP call that a "pillion" switch. It simply communicates that you have a passenger aboard to the bike. It will make a difference to the nanny.

The seat option is my biggest complaint agaainst BRP's sales operation. Why shouldn't one just be able to get the seat one prefers right off the floor rather than have to drag the extra seat home. When we bought our latest new car with leather seats we didn't have to lug the cloth ones home and store or peddle them. I know, it comes fully equipped in a crate, etc., but still...
