• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seat switch code

My bride and I hit a bump the other day and she left the seat briefly - it sounded like the seat "bottomed out" when she came back down (probably a bit low on the air pressure in the air bladder).
Then the screen flashed orange "Passegeur detectour" (not sure of the spelling) - it looks like French for "passenger detected".
It has continued to flash this message each time the trike is started and the little spyder flashes on the trip meter window.

I checked the code (I don't remember the code number) and looked the code up in the shop manual - it said that it should be checked with BUDS and to replace the switch.
It seems to me, that the rider should be able to reset such messages - if in fact the switch is bad, I'd be inclined to just not have one, as it doesn't seem to do much for me but I'd like to get rid of the annoying flashing. - I know that it is supposed to adjust something if you are riding with a passenger, but just how important can that adjustment be?
Any comments
THX in advance

Roger - thanks for your reply.
Yes - I pushed and pulled at the connector, but it is down in a hole and I can't get at it other than to just touch it with only having opened the seat - I don't know if the connector is supposed to be tied down in there, but mine seems to be. I guess I will have to try taking stuff off to get to the connector

The Spyder has to detect the presence of the passenger switch, so you can't just do without it. They consider it a safety feature, and those can't be disabled. You connector may have come loose, or the sensor may have failed. I suspect the latter. You could see a dealer or check the connection and replace it yourself, but the body panels will need to be removed. I did not find a test procedure in a quick search of the manual.

No new news - I am out of town this week and next and won't have time to do anything with for at least three weeks - will let y'all know what I find.
I appreciate all of the replies and suggestions.
I guess that I could just live with the flashing orange spyder in the trip odometer spot, but I'd really rather not.
