• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seat is coming apart

Too new to be sun related. Looks like the fabric is pulling hard on the stitching at the front. Many Spyders had the seats come apart like this.

mine is being replaced under warranty also

Just had ours replaced under warranty on our 2012

I sent pictures to the local dealer where I purchased the ones we have now. He worked with BRP to get approval and get the seat replaced. I get it installed this afternoon. I was looking at the seats from prior years and the design and placement of the stitching is MUCH better than that on my 2014 RT-S. I don't remember if it was the 2011 or the 2013 that had the "crotch" of the seat in an overlap to the phone trunk instead of a seam at the phone trunk.

I look at the junction of the stitching on the 2014 and ask myself "What kind of idiot would put the stitching RIGHT THERE on what is obviously a pulling/pushing stress point.

Like others have posted, a common problem on earlier models and most were covered under warranty.

I have 8200 miles on my current seat, no issues yet. All my other :spyder2:,s had aftermarket seats installed before 1000 miles.

Can am is getting worse and worse with customer service. Every year it's worse than previous. They put me on the road on an old new tire, that was updated and should have been new tire. Then they told me, sorry for the mistake we will give you 50.00 toward purchase of new updated one. Mind you I just paid 375.00 for the one I just put on 2 months ago and it's bald at 3900 miles.

Any one looking to replace tires before the 2014 model, look at veerubber.com they have a specific tire for rear and is designed for trikes only It's the VT 30 ARACHNID, and has a mileage guarntee. They also have fronts and is the VT350F. You can also go with the ZILENT VT350R For the front also in the specified tire size. BRP will never see a dime from me again on tires or any accessories they offer period. They will get the absolute bare minimum out of me for service also.

I had two seats start to come apart early on with my 2011 RT-AC. Both were replaced under warranty very quickly with absolutely no hassel. Third seat hasn't had any problems.

no fronts for the low profile tire on 2013 and 2014 unless it is a new addition

Yes correct. I should have clarified that. I forgot about the tire size change for those years. Thanks...
So on my above post pre-2013 Spyder models.
