There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. seat change

Patti,

How's the seat on your new F3-T? Do you think you will be opting for a custom seat is is the stock one OK?

I did a ride in at Russell last week. It's my fifth RDL and is worth every penny. I even got a discount for being a repeat customer. I think I'm ready to try a BBG on the spyder.

I'm OK with the stock seat, so far. If I do change I'll probably give the Mustang seat a long look. Or just go air-hawk. Given the cost of the after-market seats, they're going to have to be pretty darn good before I spring for the extra cost.

I swapped out the stock seat for the Mustang seat we won at Spyderfest. Only a couple hundred miles in it so far, but so far so good, for both of us. My wife says that her legs are a bit further apart, but says it's comfortable for her. Hey, the price was right...LOL. We'll see how it goes for the summer. Myself, I think there is a bit more support than the stock seat offered. I'm sure there is a break in period like all the rest

I still think there is something wrong with paying the price it costs for a Spyder RT, mine is an S model and then you have to buy a new seat in order to be able to enjoy the ride if it is more than 1 -2 hours.
With that said I feel better at least, I have to add into the mix Diamond Seats. I have been more than pleased with my new Diamond Seat, but since I had a Diamond seat on another bike I knew how good it was and am not sorry I spent the money. Mine also has the driver backrest that I did not think I would like but I was wrong and really am glad I got it.
Good luck in your search.

I think that's pretty much the case with all touring bikes. I don't know why motorcycle companies all put substandard seats on new bikes , but they all do it. I've never owned a touring bike that hasn't been made much better by the addition of a new saddle. :sour:. The upside of that, I guess, is that we all have a lot of good choices in aftermarket seat suppliers to choose from.

100% agree. I have had 1 bike that I actually liked the stock seat for both appearance and comfort. I could do 600 plus mile days in comfort on it.

One problem for bike/trike manufacturers is that they are trying to make a seat that fits everyone and that is impossible. They also know that historically, bike owners change their seats for after market ones regardless of the comfort just because people like to farkle. The fact that there are numerous after market seat makers and some folks like one make better than another for comfort just proves that one "size" does not fit everyone. Very few Harleys on the road have their stock seat. It's just a fact of life.

I hate having to figure out that a replacement seat is going to work within 30 days of purchase and costs 1/20th of the overall Spyder. Hope you're correct with the decision!?
