There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sears trunks on sale

Looks exactly like the one I got 2 years ago from JC Whitney. I got the large for $89 and it works great, so looks like this is a good deal.

Does anyone have one of these mounted to the spyder rack? It sounds like a great deal but I am not sure if it will mount to the brp syder rack.

I would like to know this as well. I would buy one if I knew that it would mount to the sport rack.

Thank you.

And, if it does and you don't already have a rack, remember that the Spyder rack costs $420 at list -- plus installation time or $$$. Makes the price of using these Sears goodies go up pretty quickly!

I figured at $33 (medium size) plus $10 shipping it was worth a try. Easily bolts onto the sport rack (I used three holes) and fits like a glove. You do need to put a spacer at the rear so that the lip on the sport rack fits under the mounting plate that comes with the case. You can either remove it with its Givi-like detach lock or remove it with the sport rack plate. Not exactly Givi quality, but for the price, you can hardly go wrong. Rated at 31 liters and it will hold a full face helmet. Now with the Givi 35 side cases, 31 top case and 44 liter trunk I have 145 liters of space. Made in China no doubt, but you can't get a tail bag for even twice the price. Waterproof and more secure. Pics later.

Mine from JC Whitney is mounted to the center section of the sport rack.
Yo can remove it by pulling the cable.
I picked up an extra center section (the part that is removed to install the back rest) so I can go with or without trunk.
I had to use a couple of pieces of 1x1 alum box tube to "jack it up" to clear that lip on the back but it works great. I am going to mount a cooler on the other center section so I can bring water for those Florida day rides.
The Sears one looks just like the one I bought from JC whitney.
It does not have the fit and finish of the GIVI but it works and has been water tight so far. Great price!

Bought the medium one for my son's scooter - nice product, easy to mount. One click removeable with a handle to carry around. Full size helmet fits, barely. I'd say a great deal for the price.

Here are some pics of the Sears (JC Whitney) case. Hard to believe it's $33. Pad is not a pad but simply a formed ABS plastic piece, but I use the BRP backrest when my wife is on. I may head to the Krylon paint isle and try to add some silver accents to the top to tie in with the Givi cases.

You can find the rack for $300ish on ebay...install isn't that bad...after taking mine down to get to a brake light, I can say this install isn't that tough if you have a bit of time...

Sears is having a sale on their motorcycle trunks, looks like a good deal.

Thank you for posting this...I grabbed the big one because if I ever go on an overnight trip, more luggage space can always be had! It is certainly bigger than the BRP soft bag that goes on the sport rack...as long as this thing will go on the sport rack securely, I'm quite happy with this addition...the price is right...$52.00 delivered...

Now with my BRP side bags and this rear bag, I can bring quite a bit with me!

Hey folks..
I to bought one of these from Sears. The medium sized one.
Then came the quest of figuring out how to get it mounted on the back of my Spyder WITH the backrest.
Well after a couple of iterations, I was able to come up with a solution for just a couple of bucks, some brackets, a hacksaw and a couple of new bolts.
We tried it last weekend and it worked perfectly. (Check out the cool little chrome spider on the top of the case):2thumbs:
I didn't like the Iron Cross that was on the case so I covered it with the spider!

I can post more details if any one is interested.
Pretty cheap alternative to some of those other luggage carriers.

If you search the Sears site long enough, you will see they have the medium also available in a gloss silver for $80 that looks very close to the Spyder silver.
