• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seal Floorboards

Thanks John, I'll throw some heat on the trim and see if it reactivates the adhesive. And I'll try a couple of rubber washers on one side first to see if it buffers any of the vibration. I wonder if some of the vibration would be dampened if I left the weights on the underside of the pegs...?? :dontknow: Perhaps I'll try one side with the peg weights and the other side with rubber washers and see which feels the best.

I'm planning to go to the Owner's Event in Durango, CO and will be at SITR again this year, so I'll see you at one or both. :)

Although it isn't much, and it's in no way the fault of the floorboard, I'm feeling a little vibration and am wondering if I put rubber washers between the floorboard and the footpegs if this would help reduce it.

I had a little, but noticeable vibration coming from the rear where the peg is inserted beneath the stock passenger boards. I had some scrap rubber laying around so I wrapped and taped a piece around each Seal peg and eliminated the vibration.

You may have an earlier model before I started putting a rubber sleve in te peg. Make for a nice snug fit and no metal to metal contact. I don't notice any vibration on my RT other than from the motor, which is very slight..

Do you know when you may be offering the free freight promotion again? I live in North Carolina.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

If you live anywhere near Raleigh, I might be able to hook-up with you and deliver a set to you personally.

What dates will you be in Raleigh? I would love to come up and check these out and get a pair. I am having my seat mod done at the end of April and cutting about two inches back. I feel I am sitting too close and can's sit comfortably with my legs, I am hoping that the seat fix and floor boards will help me with the positioning.

thanks

sealboards

Finally got around to installing the floorboards today and went for a short ride. All I say is "WOW", what a difference they make, so MUCH room to move my feet around which adds to the comfort level !!!! Thanks John. Now I'll be riding in comfort......

We put the sealboards on my 2012 Spyder and I agree---they are awesome! My one complaint was the pegs and now that issue is resolved. Also makes more comfort for the "other rider" with bad knees, more move around room! And they weren't bad for a self install!

Hi Folks,

Thought i would add my feedback from the UK. I ordered the Seal Floorboards for my 2011 RT-S about 4 weeks ago, took just over 3 weeks to arrive in the UK, but almost a week of that was UK customs :(

Anyway, they were well packaged and protected, and after unwrap took a full 45 minutes to install in total. Very simple and clear instructions. The Boards look great on my Spyder (black) and are very sturdy. Took the Spyder for it's first proper ride today with them fitted and they really do improve the driving position and allow for a bit of "stretch" when needed. I do notice a small amount of vibration in the board, more than before with the original pegs, so i will guess it is because i don't have any rubber insulation now between peg/board and foot, and also when fitting, the two weights below the stock peg are removed ( Perhaps i wasn't supposed too ?). Anyway minor point and overall very happy with the finished product.

Thank you John...and more than happy to recommend.

Al.
