• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seal Floorboards & Highway Pegs?

Seal Floorboards or Highway Pegs?

I have a new 2011 RTS SM5 and would like to add either the Seal floorboards or some highway pegs for a different position for my legs. I would be interested in hearing other folks experience and what they like. I do wonder if anyone has installed the Seal Floorboards on an RTS SM5, and how is it for shifting? Is there enough room to get your toe under the shift lever, etc. Do they make a diference for a different leg position for longer rides, etc.

with the shifter for me it was hard because with your foot flat on the board you nedded to lift your hole leg so i put a rise on the board so i could rock my foot to shift, which was easery to shift ,but i started shifting with my heal part of the time.you have plenty of room to get your toe under the shifter.

Feedback from an SE5

I love the floorboards, although at 6'4" I'm going to explore either a new seat or moving the 'step' back on the current seat.

But the floorboards are great! And, an easy install...

I just came out with the RT SM5 DLX last month. Everyone ho has tried it seems to be happy with the way it shifts. The RT SM5 is a very different animal from the RS SM5. I have pictures on the Gallery page of "Dave" shifting on his RT. Dave is the man who did the testing for me as there don't seem to be any RT SM5's in the Portland, Or. area. You can also see the Shifter itself on my Products Page. I welcome any questions and will answer promptly.

Ride in comfort,

John
