• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

has anyone got one yet and how do they like it ??? i'm ordering a second spyder and the transmission will be deciding vote in whether i keep the one we have now and girl friend gets new one or she keeps the old one and we order another standard .... any input would be great ... if no one has one have they driven one ... my dealer has driven one but i would like other opinions....

I drove one of the E5 last week in KC Mo and ordered one the next week. My wife is afraid of a manual transmission and after I saw how smooth it shifts and just how safe it was to drive in town I order one instead of the Manual :2thumbs:ever though it cost about 1400 dollar more. Now I have wait for it to be built I was told by the factory riders that they are going to start production around July 15. I hope this helps by the way my wife went back on Sunday and even though she has not ridden in 20 years had a great time on the E5 and after we receive our first one she is thinking of buying her own.

I also rode the SE5 in Missouri, and I absolutely love it! You won't be dissapointed. The shifting is really smooth, (do not throttle back), continue to keep throttle and push the toggle (at approx 4000rpm) to shift up and it moves between gears seamlessly. When you let off throttle and/or brake, the bike downshifts when rpm's reach 2500 to 2200 rpm automatically. Thus if you have to slow down, and then need to accelertate again, you're always in the correct gear!

One thing to remember, that when at stop, there is no clutch to keep you from being engaged in 1st gear, so keep foot on the brake, then release and throttle to move. I found it completely normal and comfortable since I've never ridden a motorcycle (except for the 50cc bike in the MSF course). The motorcycle vehicle test will be that much more simple on the SE5. Balancing already no factor, now the accelerate to 15mph and brake will be a piece of cake also. And you can't really skid, with the ABS.

Buy the SE5. It's a treat. :2thumbs:

thank you

my dealer is supposed to get one for a demo .... so i'm hoping she likes it so i can have the one we have now custom painted over the winter .... she likes factory paint ....i'm more into a nice all black myself ....
