• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone, my name is Randy and Iam new to the spyder world. I purchased a 2011 rt ,went on a 1000 mile trip. Love the bike, went out sat. And got stranded. The bike was stuck in 5th gear. I manually got it in neutral. But now it won't shift into any gear. Checked all the fuses ,under seat and hood. Oil level, ground wire from coil. Still nothing , I've read some forums but couldn't see where the.problem was solved. And ideas would be helpful.

5 th gear

First :welcome: Now, Help us to help you ..... So you were driving .... and the trans. wouldn't downshift ????? and when you did stop, it remained in 5 th gear ....So you couldn't re-start because it must be in neutral !!! ..... this is odd because the SE is SUPPOSED to automatically gointo neutral by itself ( normally ) .....are you having Battery issues ???? ..... Mike

Sounds like...

A paddle shifter or actuator problem. Throw in the gear position sensor for good measure. I would raise the rear wheel and turn it as you manually shift through the gears. Check the gear indicator if it is showing an E or R when shifting it will be the position sensor. If you can power the actuators and they work then it will be the paddle if they don't then the actuators. If this is a bit much it will be dealer time..:gaah:
