Scuff marks on tank

2020 RTL- I accidentally put a double scuff mark on my tank on the top coat. I believe it was done with the rubber sole on my boot as I was getting on or off the byke. I researched prior threads and it appears most on this subject are somewhat dated. I tried Lamonster Black Dymond Detailer that was suggested, but it had no effect. Looking for any updated suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Try scratch doctor by nu finish. It's a mild rubbing compound. Works good.

Scuffs

Any Auto polishing compound should work .... Mike :thumbup:

I have had several scuff marks on the lower Tupperware side panels from my boots and plain old liquid auto polish/wax has removed them. No damage to top coat.

Worst come to worst--I cautiously use Acetone , be quick--put on rag--wipe off the mark. then use auto polish. I've used it many times on several vehicles & never damaged the paint. Finger nail polish remover works also.(it contains acetone)

I use my passenger foot pegs to get on and off my F3 to avoid scuffing the tank.

The paint on ALL Spyders is water-based ..... I'd be EXTREMELY careful with Acetone ..... jmho .... :thumbup:Mike
