• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

last week codes kept coming across, took it to dealer, the b;uds said it was the old pressure sensor. left it there. they of course had to order the
oart.. While there, theu replaced the recalled DPS. Thats the third one fpr
this spyder. It's ready, I pick it up and within 5 mile it scrolls again, took
it back. Buds says noyhing is wrong, mechanic finds corroded terminal,
After clraning I take it out for 20 miles, no problem. Paid my 50 deductible
for the oil sensor. Drove 15 towards home and the codes are back.

They want it back tomorrow. Round trip 114 mi. The relays are all tight.....

Anyone have a suggestion ?????????????????

This is posted under RT Shop Talk. I hope you do not have an RT, and it is merely posted under the wrong heading. If you do have an RT, the dealer cheated you when he charged a deductible. The Spyder has a two year, full warranty. Deductible only applies after BEST kicks in.

Now that we have that out of the way, I would suggest you check a couple of things. First, check the oil level, with the engine fully warmed (after riding) and screwing the dipstick in. Follow the prodedure in the manual carefully. Low oil (below the dipstick) can cause this problem to occur. Also check the battery connections for tightness and lack of corrosion. Poor battery contact can cause odd fault messages.

If these don't check out, there is a procedure for checking the oil pressure switch in the shop manual. It should be tested, and a wet oil pressure test should be performed. The problem could be actual low oil pressure. This is not a test that is performed on BUDS, BTW. Beyond that it could be wiring or a bad ECM or cluster.

Sorry you are experiencing problems. Your dealer has an obligation to repair this...and repair it right. Stay on him!
