• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Scotty, question on RAM mount

I replaced one of the CHAD wingnuts with a RAM-B-337-U ball with a 1/4-20 threaded hole. I had to grind the CHAD wingbolt down a little shorter so it wouldn't bottom out, and I added another stainless fender washer as a shim. There is a RAM component to allow you to do almost anything you can think of.

Scotty,

Do you know about how much you ground off? I'm going to buy a spacer instead of grinding. I may have to buy it off the internet, which is why I ask now rather than wait and try to take a measurement.

Sorry, I'm not sure how much. I used one or two extra washers, but the screw still bottomed, so I put on a nut as a thread chaser, and ground a little off at a time until it tightened without bottoming. I'd say less than 1/4", but how much less is a wild guess...maybe a couple of threads. Screw still worked with wingnut in normal location afterwards. Nancy's Spyder is in shop, so I can't go measure it.
