• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Schraeder valve/valve core on air bag got me today

Had the day off today and decided to prep the spyder for our upcoming ride tomorrow with the folks from the selling dealer(old Bonnie and Clyde trail). Cleaned it up real good, checked fluids, pressures, etc and then I went to add some air in the rear bag. I took the valve cap off and was greated with a small "hiss". Figuring we'd be 2 up I wanted the pressure bumped up. Well...hooked up the hand pump, got to the pressure I wanted and removed the pump...PSSSSSSS...the air came right back out of the core. Hoping our ride wouldn't be in jeapordy, headed down to AutoZone to pick up a valve tool, couldn't find the one in my tool chest. Had to turn the core about a full turn. Put the pump back on and crisis averted! Good thing I pour over the threads here or else I might have not figured this one out in time for the ryde. Big  for SL and all the knowledge here. Bring on Bonnie and Clyde!

Without the help from the folks on SL we would all be behind the 8 Ball

My core was loose also. I inflate mine with the small slime compressor I keep in the back truck and plug it in there. Great for putting air in the tires to. You have to take the hook-up of Quickly or the air will come out quick. Even checking the pressure (Of the airbag) with a guage has to be done quick or 3-5 pounds of pressure escapes!

There is a hand pump made for air shocks, It's a no loss system and very small , i.e. when you take the pump off no air comes out. I use it all the time on my Tri Glides air shocks, You can get them between 28 to 50 dollars .

A pencil type gauge such as the Milton usually loses the least air when checking pressures. A compressor or air hose without a "clamp in place" nozzle will lose less when detaching.

What's it called a no loss pump ? noticed that too

It's called a suspension air pump, You can get it either with a digital or analog gage.
There available at most Motorcycle shops, I got mine at my Harley dealer where i bought my,
