Scam?????

Hi folks,

Anyone else get an email that says this:

Hello!
I'm sorry you're getting the mail from me at this Point in time,my family and I came down here to Antalya,Turkey for a short vacation unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel we stayed,all cash credit cards and cell were stolen off but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.I have been to the embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves pretty soon from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills.Please be so kind to reply back so I can tell you what to do and how to get some cash to us.

Of course it's a SCAM!!! If you can contact Jack himself, he'll probably tell you his email was hacked. Do not send any money!

One of the worst scams is that same email, but it is "generated" by someone you know, usually a name phished from your contacts, so it appears genuine

Yep. Have had them in my e mail too. Along with the ones from the FBI, someone from the British government and DHL all wanting to deliver cash to me.

..:yikes:...I hope you were very very careful in how you opened that E-mail !!!! sometimes they contain a VIRUS, that once implanted can bleed you dry :gaah::gaah::gaah:.....Mike :thumbup:

I got one from a Spyderlover buddie of mine and he was broke down in Carolina and wanted me to wire him $300.00, i emailed back and asked him what my Spyder lovers handle was and he never returned the email. It was hacked, i talked to him later that day and he asked if i would have sent it to him and i said .......................... Maybe :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

And who might Jack Herst be? THIS IS A SCAM>DO NOT ANSWER<WORRY ABOUT or otherwise be concerned. Hit delete ASAP. I got mine the other day and they were stranded in the Philipines. Almost word for word just a different name and location. I laughed all the way to the delete button:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
