• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saw this and wondered what people thought

Interesting....I wonder just how bright they really are on a bright sunny day..?? I do like the idea of it.

Here is one that is a lot less expensive and is sold by a fellow spyderlover, Sharon Zohar http://www.zoozmc.com/#!product/prd1/2711307771/led-helmet-signal-light-zf-6100

Much better at night I would think, but might be seen during the day as well. Several posts in the past about various incarnations of this technology. Bottom line to me is, if it helps you to be seen, why not try it? Money as compared to one's life should not be an issue. I've spent a lot of time & $ on LED's to make my RT more visible. I just might spring for this too.

The only downside I see with the Zooz light is that it sticks out about 1" off the back of the helmet which might make stowing your helmet in a compartment difficult.

Had not considered that. Makes sense to look at the dimensions, as well as the weight of anything that one might put on a helmet.

I like the idea. If you have a darker helmet, then daytime visibility should be good as the lights will stand out from the helmet.

Cost seems less than I would have thought, for either version shown.

I have had one for years

I have this type of thing on my Gmax helmet, it is a brake and running light
bluetooth to the bike. Also you can make it stay on all the time or blink
fast and faster...
Everyone who sees it wants to know how I did it but it is stock part of the helmet
runs on penlight batteries AAA.
