• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saddlebag back orders

On and mounted! (I'll take some pics out-in-the-wild tomorrow).

Each bag contains the mounting parts inside. Two keys for each, and net-net is you end
up with (4) keys that are identical.

They slide on from the top, and then back, but there is a 3rd anchor-point where you see
an access panel under your seats. The locking mechanism slides forward into that. Considering
there is not a true full-frame, it seems sturdy.

Good instructions, all hardware has locktite of some form on it. The only small PIA are these
fender clips you use under the removed access panel (and they give you a different one). Once
I did the right side, the left was MUCH faster.

ONE STRANGE PART ON THE INSTALL....

There is one strange part they DID NOT put in the instructions. On the left side, there is an
access panel you will remove (as on the right). Ultimately there are (3) holes with (3) fender
clips... there is one there and you slide on the other (2). OK...so the one is obvious to see
up foward by itself... the other is next to the one that's already on the machine. The kicker is
you have no direct access to it. WHAT I DID WAS to carefully pull down the "cover" directly
under the seat and there you can see where it goes, and reach in and slide it on.

This "front panel" that has a mount replacement part...its an up/down, forward/backward
deal where the lock slides forward into. DO NOT tighten down those two screws but make
them snug so you can adjust.

Backrest

I have several accessories on order. Saddlebags, Passenger backrest, Footboards, and Aux Lights. I did receive my windshield. I ordered the Rt66 and they sent me the replacement for it.
I've been told mid April for anything else.
I'm about to cancel the order for the saddlebags and wait to see if someone comes out with a cheaper alternative.
The accessory I'm really upset about is the backrest.

PITBULL has them in stock, give em a call

Please give us some intel, Are they made well, how is the interior, Do they hold enough for a day trip, weekend trip, ect....
Thanks and congrats on getting the bags.

Someone Actually Received the Cross-Country Bags?

This is exciting news if I'm reading the thread correctly, but the latest thing my dealer can tell me is that the BRP website says "No Shipping Date Available" or something like that.

BTW, I not only ordered the bags but I actually paid for them in November '14...talk about a wait!

I have an Arizona trip planned for about three weeks from now...hope this news of someone actually getting a set of bags means that the dam has broken.

My saddlebags have been on back-order since 2/19. I was told by dealer yesterday that GIVI is having trouble with the mounting design. No ETA !

Sourced in China, longshoreman strike, then trucking strike (or slow downs) = huge delay on top of redesign. I saw a set of bags on a Canadian F3 in Springfield.

Pre-Ride intel....

Shipping - The label says it came from BRP Canada, and the packing was very good. Not a blemish
inside the box, and packed smart.

Hardware - All packed in a sealed back inside each respective unit. Instructions provided are pictured
good. All TORX bolts have locktite on the threads. Every part is of high quality and fits great.

Instructions - Not bad, like anything once you do the install, then the instructions make 100% sense.

Mounted & Look - They are just about the perfect size for the F3, keeping the hotrod look in proportion.
The full back of each unit has an aluminum casting, so once mounted they are very stable with minimal
movement. If one side does not slide on, use the extra shim as instructed to swap. I will say their thought
on mounting is nice, and you really do not notice anything if removed. There is no sloppy clamps added
and such, its a very-very clean thought to mount.

The Bags - The exterior is nice with small red stitch and should be durable, obviously will not scratch. The
seals around the opening you may see in the "gap" when closed. Interior is molded, and the material that
wraps-around into the unit could be trimmed a tad better for a cleaner look, but not a biggie. Overall space
is fine... again its not a huge unit.

What-Would-I-Change - The keylock appears as a button style, but it is not. Its a simple insert-key and twist.
I suspect to keep the space inside to maximum. If I were to change, I'd like to see the button style replaced
with a keycenter AND a surrounding flat winged twisty thing. (Somewhat like the interior back lock style is). This
way you are not using the key itself to close the latch....

Price - I'll have to admit $800-900 max.
