• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sad Day!!!

I could not believe the replies I read. "Very touching"

I want to thank all of you for your kind words.

We miss Roxie a lot, and yes we are very angry.

Our other dog, Lucky, is fine :2thumbs:

Very sorry to hear about this incident, and the loss of Roxie. Apparently you picked the perfect name for Lucky, and I am glad you did not lose them as well. I also hope they are able to catch whoever did it.

I hope the perps are caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Also civil action.

And remember if they are kids its often a sign of severe abuse at home. Don't be shy to also call DHS on the parents.

I know this would spur me to manslaughter if I knew the culprits.

I've said it once already but my sincere and heartfelt sympathies.

I am so sorry for your loss. This was especially heinous act of cruelity. As an animal lover I am amased that people can be so cruel. Dogs give love unconditionally and whom ever did this needs to be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I lost my Great Dane in October and I have questioned the possiblity that he was poisoned also.

I hope and pray that you can take comfort in the memories they have given you through the years. One of our spyderlovers sent me this after the loss of my Dane I hope it helps.

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sad, indeed!

As one who is owned by four greyhounds, my heart goes out to you and your family. I most sincerely hope that whoever poisoned your dogs gets his or her well-deserved justice.
