• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker ride in a dust storm

gkamer

Sadly passed away, December '23.
My first attempt at a motorvlog. :)

Sorry about some of the wind/road noise, I don't have by new mic yet....

Dust or smoke from all the fires around us? We are experiencing high winds and they are bringing in thick smoke.

None of the smoke has reached this far.... yet. But we have had wind gusts of 40-50 mph, with several multi car accidents on Interstate 90 and Highway 395 due to visibility suddenly dropping to zero. There's a pretty major brush fire a few counties over, but thankfully the wind has been blowing the smoke away from us.

Sorry about the three misspelled words.... Flad=Flag, Ogten=Often and Peky=Pesky. I didn't catch them till it was too late.

Great video. You are having a lot of fun.

Please keep up with the videos. Love to see other scenery. Have not encountered tumbleweeds yet.

Here is a clip to go along with the tumbleweeds:

One of my favorite retro harmony groups.

Wow, I didnt know that you guys had dust storms and tumble weeds out there in the great Pacific Northwest.
National Geographic says there is more geographic variety in Oregon that anywhere else on the globe and Washington isn't too far behind.
Within a 100 radius of Portland, I can go to ocean, high desert, volcanoes, canyons, mountains, fir forests, pine forests and more. One of the reasons I stay in this crazy town,

Off topic, I know... But is Portland as bad as the media is claiming? Just curious.

So far, the rioting has been localized to a small portion of downtown, near police stations and sporadically on thoroughfares they block traffic, set fires, break things, do graffiti and toss things at cops. Portland is a large city and most of it has not been affected by the riots, but we do have "homeless" campers all over.

Thanks for the insight. If you watch the news, it's a war zone... Media hype! Stay safe!

It truly is a war zone where the rioting is happening, complete with Molotov cocktails and other possibly lethal projectiles. Those people are vicious and there doesn't seem to be a cause behind what they are doing, other than city hall is doing nothing to stop it, so they continue. To add insult to injury, our DA put out a laundry list of crimes he won't prosecute and they are all the things the rioters are doing. Go figure.
