• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RYKER demo ride gone WRONG

Well, besides the obvious error of a someone not really all that skilled in ryding a Ryker taking one of them into a Skate Park :banghead: it's pretty clear that he's never heard the term nor experienced the need to "LET GO!!" :yikes:

Some Mothers really do have 'em!

(Just ask MY Mum! :roflblack: )

Saw this type scenario happen 3 times in my life…but not this extreme.
The first was back in 1979 or ‘80 in a motorcycle safety class. Honda Nighthawk 250. The young lady was coming off the course, hit a bump, jostled the bike a little, she was desperate to hang onto it, kept rolling the throttle as it bounced along. She said her mind froze and didn’t think about grabbing for brakes or letting loose of the throttle/handlebar grip..she ran into me at full tilt…knocked me over…I carry the scar on my leg to this day.

Saw it twice at the same Spyder dealer. Guy turned the throttle too hard from standstill… it jumped… he grabbed the throttle grip to hang on… kept rolling, unrolling off the throttle in response to each jump… ran across a 4 lane highway and finally got it stopped before he went up and over a train track embankment.

The other at this dealer was a very senior citizen gentleman, been riding 2-wheelers all his life, … did same thing of rolling on the throttle then grabbing-rolling the throttle when it lurched. He finally turned loose of the throttle just before he hit a very thick stand of hedges…the dealer chasing after him yelling brake! Brake!

So the situation is possible…. But bringing it to a skateboard park?

I sincerely hope this was filmed as a junk stunt and not an actual scenario about a supposed test drive on a Ryker. Where was the dealer in all this?????

But then again, it was on the internet so it must be true. :roflblack:

My guess is that it was a smart**s teen wanting to show off what his new Ryker could do!

We’ll I can tell you he had no way to not take off once he flew back. When he got launched back and dragged, he kept his hand on the throttle. The farther he slid back the more it twisted. The more it twisted the faster it goes. The faster it goes the farther back he goes. Seen it many time with guys doing wheelies. The only thing you can do at that point is let go instead of fighting it. Your body and mind won’t let that happen though. Shouldn’t have been there in the first place, but once the ball has started rolling it will keep rolling and gain momentum.

:agree: ....This proves again, there is No cure for Stupid ..... jmho ..... Mike

That douche nugget could have disabled or killed a skater in that park.

Cool or not, he's a douche and karma will get him.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Hope someone throttles this guy if the park had skaters in it. If this is just another youtube stunt for clicks, then I hope he gets run over by 100 rykers.
