• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RVers and Owners Event in Maggie Valley

This will be our first time at an Owners Event and in Maggie Valley. I looked at large and small campgrounds and found Creekwood Farm RV Park answered their phone (after trying others that were closer). This park is about 6-7 miles away in Waynesville, NC. Has anyone else stayed here before or do you have other recommendations. It would be kinda neat to stay in the same campground with other Spyder owners. DocRags and DRBuck, where are you guys staying? I'd love to hear from other RVers.

Thanks so much!

It's fabulous. We stayed there two years ago for the Spyder rally. Great people, lots going on and a beautiful creek running through it. Hope you have as much fun there as we had!

Our plan is to stay in Creekwood Farms. Will make reservations later today. This will be our first Owners Event and first time is this part of the country. My wife's ancestors started the town of Troutman (she was a widow named Anna Troutman). Her place became a freighting depot, then when the train came through it became a train depot. We want to visit Troutman while we are in the Maggie Valley event. Should be fun!

Put in what city where you want to camp. There will be Ratings of the campgrounds.
www.trailerlifedirectory.com

Creekwood has a rating of 8.5/10*/9.5 which is great. Middle number is restrooms!
AAA discount
TLD has it listed under Waynesville.

We stayed there two years ago for the Owners Event and it was a great place. If we were taking the toy toyhauler this is where we would be staying there.

We'll be toy hauling it for the first time so I'm interested... Was looking at rv parks in Maggie Valley but have learned the hard way that sometimes location nets you a horrible campground.

We have been to Creekwood Farms RV Park before and will be staying there this time... very nice park.

I've booked Creekwood Farms for the event this year. We will be arriving on the 12th and leaving the morning of the 15th for Lamont's BBQ. We should be in site 30.

Same for us. We are both really looking forward to that week/weekend! Looking forward to visiting with you and your wife!

We may be changing our plans a little. I'll know for sure tomorrow. Looking into going down on the 11th. That way we will have time to go run the Tail of the Dragon on Wednesday and not have to miss anything at the owners event.

Confirmed -- We will be arriving the 11th.

I'll be calling them tomorrow finally and will post site number here.

We stayed at Creekwood Farm RV Park in June 2011 for that year's owners event and loved the place. We're booked for the same site we had then number 82. We are coming in on Monday, June 10th and leaving Saturday. We'll have our RT in our 16 ft cargo trailer behind our 40 ft. motorcoach. Anyone want to caravan down I-81 from VA?

Their website indicates they have tent sites, mbut I don't think they have showers. A bit closer to MV is a Pride RV Resort that has more facilities for tenters. I haven't made a decision to go yet, but if I do, that may be where I'll end up.
