• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have experience or comments on Russell seats. They say they incorporate spring support, does it make a difference?

I have a Russell on my 2011 and it is very comfortable for long rides. I'm not sure I will transfer it to the 2014 RT because I think I like the stock seat with a utopia backrest over the Russell.

Had one on my BMW. Great seat. In the winter they have a group buy, usually run by some group that gets you 10% off. nojoke Custom made to your weight, inseam. Inseam might not be a problem with the Spyder. :roflblack::roflblack: Tom :trike:

my last two bmws had russels, great seat, yes they do have springs.my last beemer had a spring coming through the side of the seat after 136,000 miles.I don't need a new seat on the spyder.I get along fine with the stock seat.Iam on my way home to Ohio after spending the last month in Fla.Rode 900 miles today and no problem with the seat.Still have about 250 miles to go so should be home in good time tomarrow.

I have modified custom Russell seat with backrest on 2014 Spyder RT-S SE6. Previous was on 2013 RT-S; previous on 2011 RT (35,000 miles of daylong comfort)!!!
Enjoy.

Haven't been on one in years

but years ago their "Day Long" model was the absolute best. I just cannot speak to current products.

Got mine last December for the 12RT. Not a lot of miles on it yet but it has the makings of a real comfortable seat.:yes: Once you hit 250 lbs. you need to add the suspension to the seat to support the additional weight.
