• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The wife bought a Rugged Geek battery jump pack for me for Christmas from Lamonster. It never would take a charge all the way up to 100%, so I emailed the Rugged Geek customer service department. The service representative, Samantha, asked me to partially discharge and charge the unit a few times to see if that would help. I tried several times, but had to report that nothing improved. She asked for a copy of the receipt and in the next email said she was sending a new unit to me, free of charge, including shipping.

That's great service. Lamont picked a good company to represent.

I purchased my Rugged Geek from Lamont a couple of months ago. Just last week I got a call from my wife saying her Audi Q7 as dead :helpsmilie: and was going to call AAA. Since I was just 10 mins away I told her that I’d be there to give her a jump. I grabbed the jumper cables as well as the Rugged Geek...thinking cool I’m going to be able to test this thing out. Long story short, her car started without hesitation...awesome! When I was able to check the battery out it wouldn't hold a charge and had to be replaced.

Won’t leave home without my Super Geek! Thanks Lamont!
