• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RTS stalls when hot

Hi

I'm new to the forum and was wondering if any other RTS riders have experienced stalling problems. The roadster has stalled three times and all three times while driving down the highway and stopping for traffic. I noted the water temperature is at normal or one line above. Outside temp around 38c. When the roadster stalls it start right up again but does not holed ilde. I have to keep playing with the throttle to keep the roaster from stalling. As I continue to ride problem disappears. The dealer changed spark plugs / both oxygen sensors and replaced fuel pump but problem still persists. :gaah:

Our did this twice since we owned it and that is 5 days. Deale has no idea either...we will monitor this and then make them replace plugs or check:shocked: injectors or something. Odd.

Roaderster stall again last night and today I call my dealer and demanded action to resolve this on going issue. I had enough with small talk and did everything they and BRP have asked. They have all the data on my bike and now I wanted answers. I told the dealer it's their duty to run after BRP and come up with a solution for this repeating problem. Long story short, my dealer looked further into possible cases and now suspects its the Throttle Positioning Senser. After the part is replace i will post my repair results.

Only stalling problem I've ever had was coming to a stop because of the semi-auto clutch issue with the SE model. Not sure if you have this model or not. Other than that, runs like a charm.

Is yours SM5 or SE5? Mine is a SM5 and the temperature rises when I shift hard and goes down once I shift soft and keep the RPMs low. Otherwise so far it has never stalled.

Possibility; check throttle body synchronization. Keep us informed....

You are forgetting one major important clue....

BRP is located in Canada. Its gets cold up there. They dont see the heat that Southern US does.
Thats explains alot about why the bike gets so hot, runs hot and hates hot weather.

Bring it up north and its a whole lot happier.
