• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RTS SE5 Arrived and in the garage

I just thought I'd say thanks again to everyone for answering my questions and for all the helpful posts on this site. I took the plunge and there is now a 2010 RTS SE5 in my garage in Timeless Black. My wife and I went out and loaded up on safety gear, got our insurance and went for a few rides. We even took it out for dinner and it was surprising how easy it was to carry the leftovers home in the rear compartment.

Now its time for some practice and then I'll eventually be on the Southern California freeways taking advantage of the carpool lanes and enjoying scenic weekend drives.

Thanks again for the support. Your advice and comments helped make me comfortable enough to make this purchase.:2thumbs:

Not sure what part of California, it's a big state, but i am ryding out from Los Angeles to Cuba MO. for the Spyderfest near the end of April. Maybe we can ride together.

I remember your 2nd post that I responded to. Glad you got the RTS in timeless black!

I went to Del Taco all the time with the GS and never spilled a drop from the drinks or shakes when they were in the frunk. The RT has better suspension so I could probably cut a diamond without a problem.

:congrats: on your new :spyder2:! Don't forget to register your choice on the color poll. :D

Registered one more for black.

:congrats: on your RTS! Good luck and ryde safe. 30 years ago, the 5, 405, 10 etc. were pretty crowded, be careful. That said, "Enjoy the ride".

They were bumper to bumper back in 1965 to 68 when I was out there in the military. I can't imagine what it's like now. :gaah:

They still are crowded/bumper to bumper. After I get some practice, I'm hoping that car pool lanes and judicious route planning will keep things reasonably safe. HOV lanes should save me over an hour a day of drive time.

I think I'm pretty close to your neck of the woods. I don't think I can make it toSpyderfest this year, though. I'm fairly new at a small company (there's only a few of us), so getting the time off would be tough. If circumstances were different I'd be up for it. I remember your response to my post as it was a factor in me getting the RTS.

Nice! I haven't tried it with drinks yet.

:2thumbs:welcome. Now the fun really begins as you get more comfortable and gain confidence. Enjoy yourselves.

Ride in comfort,
