There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. For those of you they find the windshield to loose and noisy when you hit a bump,
there is the solution in 2013 BRP modify there windshield by removing the axe pin and the put new model of axe pin see picture. For that mod you need to order
1qty 705005974 axle assy
2qty 705005973 axle assy
3qty 250000565 screw-torx

Great post, exactly what I've been looking for. How do you know this? Did you upgrade an older RTS?

I have a 2010, and would love to know how well this worked for you.

Thanks, Bill

Good info. Another source of the rattle, and it only took me two years to figure this out, is a looseness in the chrome covers that are held on with one screw on top, rather than the pins. Remove the chrome and tuck something under the lower part and top part of the piece, then tighten the screw. I used some rubber foam stuff I had on hand. This completely eliminated the rattle in mine.

Gonna write down the part numbers for further consideration.

Ordered from Cheap Cycle Parts... Wasn't that cheap though!

Was worth every penny to me, anyway!

Thought so, and I did so. Now I have to wait for cooler weather to test out. Thanks for the assistance.

Update: Teddy said there is plastic sleeves at each end that need to be purchased. Did you guys buy those? I didn't see them on the parts list at the beginning of this threadd.

No only the axle and screw

Just throwing in our 2 cents worth

Wow! The six sleeves at $5.80 each, glad we don't need them. (705003267)

The new hardware set-up from BRP for the wind-shield mounts do call for the plastic sleeves to be on each side of the mount, to prevent metal on metal wear, which makes sense:rolleyes:

Expensive??? :yikes:At $5.80 each x6, knowing what I know now:lecturef_smilie: honeslty, I would've just used a plastic straw or similar and cut it to size :2thumbs:

So, are those specific sleeves NEEDED, I'd personally think not, but having something in there to prevent metal from rubbing against metal probably IS a Good Idea:ohyea:

As Teddy often reminds me, There's more than one way to skin a cat  of course, this is just Teddy's Humble Opinion;)

Sorry about my stating needed. I misspoke. I went to the 2010 parts fiche and saw the sleeves there too, and have the same part number as the 2013. So since nothing fell out when I removed the pins, I will assume they are still in there.
