• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT622 Trailer Negotiation

When I bought my RT, the dealer had the matching trailer. He (the owner/salesman) never brought it to the table, but I'm thinking of :chat: to see if we can come to a full price on the trailer, trailer hitch and labor. Could anyone around the Spyderlovers world give me suggestions on what numbers I should go to him and get the trailer off his dealer?

Thanks in advance!!

I got my Trailer + Hitch + Tax (9.75%) + license + labor = $4500, they made some and I saved some.

I did get the spare tire and storage cover for really good prices.

Some dealer in Florida (I think) last year was giving 25% off on them --- so $2,999.00 :yikes:

Not sure if anyone ever got one for that price-- but that would be a real deal!

I bought my trailer for $2900 on Ebay and my hitch for $410 also on Ebay. The dealer charged for 1 1/2 hours labor to install the hitch. My trailer came from a dealer that sold the Spyder without the trailer and had it left over in July. Good luck on your negotiations.

yah that dealer stopped offering that, but everything else was 25% off.

This thread might do better if it was in the RT touring section. jmo

Shipping from FL to my neck of the woods is over $600 for the 622 My dealer won't drop below $3,600, and given that I won't use it more than 3 or 4 times a year, it's too much for me. I'm looking at the Aluma MCTXL, with a 5 yr warranty, delivered for $1,900. Pretty vs $2000…..hmmm

I've been reading the 'wing forums, and the Aluma is highly rated….

I saw one on EBay the other day, it was blue, and the starting bid was $1,000. I didn't look any further into it than the initial listing, but it might just be worth checking out. :dontknow:

Thanks everbody! I got a couple of PM's with some numbers so now I have an idea on what to offer. Now if I can only squeeze some time...:gaah:

Thanks Everybody! I got that price for mine!!!

Awesome, now post some pics:clap:
