There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. RT turn signal

Did a search and found numerous complaints on canceling a turn signal. That is not my problem. Right turn no issues. Left turn - it works when it wants to. Takes multiple tries before the signal goes on. As I said canceling is fine. Ideas? Hate to travel 100 miles to my dealer to have him tell me I need a new switch which must be ordered necessitating another100 miles when it comes in.

Is this for an RT that's still under warranty?? It might be worth calling them and explaining what it's doing. If they're willing to order the parts and call you when they arrive... :dontknow:
Good Luck, and please let us know what happens next!

I am also noticing that the left turn signal sometimes does not go on when I activate the switch. I get in trouble from akspyderlady for this every once in a while. Maybe I got a bad switch also. Sheese, my bike is falling apart at 28,000 miles. :roflblack:

Cancelling: just hold the switch in for a couple seconds. Works every time.

Yep. 2012 limited with 1100 miles

I have a 2011 RT Limited and the left turn would work fine sometimes other times I had to like push down then push left to activate it.
Took it in and they replaced the whole switch assembly under warranty. If it's not still under warranty it's almost 400.00 for the switch.

:agree: A good dealer will work with you on this.

Mine gets stuck

Mine gets stuck Once in while in the left position.

5000km on the odometer.

I've had mine replaced once last year and I continue to have the same issue. I can not trust turning on the left turn signal without looking to see if it's actually on. I now always hit the left switch twice when using it, but even that is not a guarantee.

I hate the never ending threads on RT turn signals but it's such a problem. I wish there was a way to force BRP to make a countermeasure switch to resolve the issue. Spyderlovers unite some how ?

Bad switch. My dealer has mine on order

Good luck. My 2010 RTS is on its THIRD switch and I still can't be certain that my left turn signal will activate.

I'm so mad at mine I have considered smashing it with a hammer. Only thing stopping me is that I didn't want anyone to think I was a "switch" hitter.:opps:

I think I will suggest to BRP that they contact Honda. I never had trouble with those and just tapping the switch in cancelled it every time, not like the light show I give people trying to turn mine off.

Mine gets physically stuck when makeing a left turn. The switch does not return to center, it comes back when I tap it. Ok dealer.. here I come again, lol..

Have your dealer center your steering and rezero your steering sensors.

In my case, the switch mechanically gets stuck to the left. Same as bluestratos .

I will get it fixed/replaced at the next scheduled service. For now it does not happen often enough to waste half a day to go to the dealer and wait for them to fix it.

So apparently this is another known problem which brp has decided to ignore. I'll wait for my next service and address it with them at that time. Unless of course another issue crops up.

I doubt they can fix it with the current engineering. Mine does the exact same thing, very annoying.

Me too

I brought the switch issue to my dealers' attention and got "It happens to me too. Yesterday I finally gave up and started sticking my arm out. I to also have to hit it twice and when I press the switch it won't always turn off. I have even tried going back and forth between left and right. It has become down right annoying. I have had my RT for 2 months and have 1300 miles on it. You are right this should not be happening.
