• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT trailer tongue storage box

Tom N

Has anyone ever seen or thought about mounting a small lockable storage box to the tongue of the RT trailer. You see these commonly on jet ski trailers. This could store oil, rags, a small gasoline container and an few tools and keep all the messy stuff seperate from the trailer. The reason I ask is the concern of only getting 150 miles between fillups. My biggest fear would be running out of gas in some remote area. I know the negative would be the potential fuel hazard in case of an accident. I was hoping for some good advice from people who have done some touring on a Spyder. Thanks, Tom N

Tom, I have thought about an ice chest, which is pretty common on other trailers pulled behind motorcycles. I've owned 3 different trailers to pull behind my Goldwings & have alway had Ice Chests on the tongues.

I have a trailer ordered for my RT & will be looking at the possibility of doing that again.
