• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Trailer light hook up

Northern Tool has a 5-4 conversion setup for trailer wiring to non-american vehicle. Its only 19.95. The only concern that I have is that it just utilizes the power from the spyder's on light wiring. Is there a need for seperate power hook-up or will this be an acceptable hook-up?

Not sure I understand you fully but, if you're saying it would circumvent BRP's trailer wiring harness. In short - don't do it.

My spyder doesn't have the traler harness installed. I purchased a non-BRP hitch and trailer and want to wire it. The Spyder uses a separate wire for each tailight adn another for the brake light or in other words a 5 wire system as compared to most american systems of 4 wire.

FYI on trailer wiring. I just picked up my trailer from USA minitrailers. I used the 5-4 wire hookup and wired it directly to the wires around the rear trunk. The lights on the trailer are LED and the wiring works great! I have both signal, brake lights and running lights. Very happy!
