• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT SWAB BAR IN F3

Doc Riverside was nice enough to GIVE me his RT Sway Bar to install in my F3-S...
the RT bar is .060 larger in diameter, and is much stronger than the OEM F3 bar...
when i received it, it showed signs of use - as in the paint wasn't perfect...
so i stripped it, and powder-coated it, and installed it... i've hear to tell you back-yard mechanics, that installation is a piece of cake ONLY if you can get your ride no less than 24 inches off the floor... YIKES, that's high....
i installed it yesterday during a very rainy day, and didn't get to ride her until this morning when i went to get the Sunday paper... i noticed a difference, but until i can get into the twisties on Rt 178 here in SoCar, that's where i should feel the real results....
here's some pix of yesterdays event... all you F3 people need to be talking to your RT buddies to see if they have an extra Sway Bar they can spare...

Thanks for your post, we're about to do the very same thing on Jeff's F3S. Hmm, looks good painted red! We were hoping we didn't have to raise the F3 as high as we did on my ST, but looks like we do? ugg.

Is that a standard convection oven? Please describe the process and if the product is available to the average Joe.

Looks great BTW!

hmmmmm.....
i thought i replied.... i must be losing my head.... :lecturef_smilie:
process is rather simple: buy a Powder Coating Gun @ Harbor Freight, get the powder color of your choice... clean the part your want coated... clean it very good, down to as much bare metal as possible (this is why i grit blast my parts)...
DO NOT TOUCH the bare metal with hands or anything with oil/grease on it... i use nitrile gloves... follow directions for the spray gun... wear a face mask, powder can be nasty... carefully place in per heated oven (not to ever again be used for food), at 350 deg. let bake for 15 - 20 minutes... shut down oven, let cool, and you are ready to rock-n-roll....
hope this helps... good luck...
