• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was looking for the oil change post by Lamonster to check if the SE model was covered in his thread. I found it and could not find anything on the SE model. Has this been covered ?

Oil Change on RT - SE

I can highly recommend the 2010 RT shop manual from Midwest Manuals... http://midwestmanuals.com/Motorcycles/can-am.htm ... it is searchable and describes precisely how to change the oil on the SE as well as anything else you will want to know about your RT.. Len

It's the same except you change the little tranny filter the first oil change and then I think it's every 12,000 miles for that filter.

Oil Change

Thanks Lamont
I didn't know if the transmission filter was required for each oil change

When you first look at the SE5 filter area it looks much more crowded than the SM5 pictures BUT the filter comes off and on with no problem!:2thumbs:

The official BRP shop repair manual states... change the HCM, Hydraulic Control Filter, at 600 miles then at 12000 miles then every 12000 miles there after.

"She who must be obeyed" has me change hers every 6 to 8 thousand miles.:shemademe_smilie: For us I believe that is a good policy because filters are less expensive than transmission control modules. /Ken krb1945
