• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. If you have bluetooth, why/how are you using the speakers?

I found the speakers to be pretty much useless. They sound muddy to me, and I had to crank them up high enough to be annoying to everyone around me.

Now I have my RT connected to my SR10 (not SM), along with my 2-way 2m radio, and it works great in my BT headset.

I have asked this before a few times now actually and no one really says much. Has anyone put in other speakers and an amp? I would like my bike to thump to the bass of the music a bit (not horribly so, but at the moment it is super weak and yes I have the bass set to 6). My car a Nissan Altima with a stock Bose system thumps like crazy, love that stereo! So has anyone done this? If so will a 300 watt motorcycle amp do this? There are some for $80 to $300, but I don't want to do mods that I cannot do. I need to know if it is possible and if the electrical system will handle that? I know nothing about motorcycles, I am super green to this, a complete newbie, but I am not satisfied with the stock radio stereo but would like to improve that, as it is important to me. Also what happens then if I get a Bluetooth Dongle and speakers for my helmet? Does this turn off the speakers? No more Amp? I don't know enough to know....thanks!

I don't know about the amp. If you get the bluetooth dongle you physically have to go into the setttings under external speakers and set them to disabled for it not to play through them.Bill C.

double tap the pairing button on the sena

The sena sm10 has a "make it louder" feature (I would not call it a real amp). Double tap the pairing button when its on and it should boost the audio. It worked on my SM10's going to my scala G9x headset.

OK you GOT ME

Are you asking if the speakers on the RT that come with it can be replaced with others
OR... are you wanting information regarding the blue tooth speakers in your helmet ?
the SM10 converts your RT radio to blue tooth so you can hear it in your helmet with
a blue tooth headset inside your helmet such as a 20S or SMH10... there is plenty of volumn
inside every ones helmet to have no trouble hearing the music, phone or GPS at speed.
also you can disable the onboard speakers if you like but it is just easier to simply turn down
the volumn on the Spyder radio.... you will find there is a delay in the sound from the radio
to the blue tooth headsets, that may also be your problem.

:D Clean the wax out of your ears... :roflblack:

At best; this is a "dirty" environment for listening to anything...
Between the wind rushing by, the noise of traffic, your passenger jabbering in the intercom; you're lucky to be able to hear yourself even think.
LOTS of folks have upgraded their speakers, and a bunch have also added amplifiers to the system also...
The "Search" function will be your friend...

:agree: The 2014 speakers are WAY better, than the ones that were on my 2010... :2thumbs:

The Music is still as horrible as ever...

IMHO spyder audio is not real good... have heard other bikes that the audio is much better than BRP spyder... Audio is one thing that BRP surely could improve ..

I installed and an amp in my RT

Yes, I installed a 300 watt amp (placed it where the XM radio would go under the left side panel) and I replaced the speakers with DC Gold to match the wattage. This puts out fantastic quality of sound, deep base and very clear highs. If I crank it up it is too loud to bare for long so no problem on the freeway. The amp I chose is a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate, it is very compact but you need to add some extra shielding from water (no problem in the rain but if I power wash it does reach it).

I simply disconnected the original speaker wires, extended them to reach the amp then put in 14 gauge speakers wires from the amp back to the new speakers.

:D I'm glad that you showed up to this party...

...Because I remembered your mods; only I couldn't get my brain, to give me your name. :opps:

Oh! Just in case anybody felt the need to know: the OEM system comes from RadioSound...

Forgot to mention that I added a 300 watt compact woofer in my frunk to round out the sound and get that "rumble" that some music needs. It comes out in under a minute if I need to use the frunk but with a trailer I never have had to.

To duplicate your system what type of financial investment is involved ?????..................Mike
