RT PERFORMANCE STAGE 2 KIT INSTALLED

Took the RT down to Cowtown and had the stage 2 Performance kit installed, have posted pictures of the work done and WOW what a difference. We took it for a ride right after the work was done and it is an instant notice of handling and performance.
I didn’t know for sure if the expense would be worth it and finally decided to go for it and was I surprised, it is an expensive upgrade but with it, the RT is a totally different experience. I will let everyone know if the mileage changes but the way if feels is unbelievable.

here are some pictures of the work being done

RT - Performance Stage 2

Had this package installed in November and very happy with the product and workmanship.

Ok, now what's in the stage two kit? I know shocks but what else? I was thinking of stage one since I have the shock already.

Was great to meet you, Glad your pleased with the preformance pakage:thumbup: And on the stage one is, The Ram Air Intake, green filter, Preformance plug and wire kit, Two brother RT-Performance pipe, Power fluid oil additive and a lot of labor:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Well we went on a chapter ride Sunday and the wind was blowing around 30 mph and the bike handled great, it sounds great and runs far better than before. This is a whole new experience in the ride and an extremely happy with the change.

We made reservations at the campground there for Syderfest and look forward to meeting more people with CanAm's

I love when people are happy! And just to make sure I'm remembering correctly you have both a RT and a wing trike, thanks for the faith and the trust, you do your best and hope people like it.

Len,

How much is the ram air intake? How difficult it to install? Are you just plumbing the existing intake on the left farther forward to one of the front holes?

I already have most of the other components of the stage 1 kit. Just missing the intake and the exhaust. I am afraid the exhaust will be too loud based on hearing the TBR Dual on an RS. Sounded GREAT but REALLY LOUD.

How different does TBR sound on an RT?

WE can run the intake in 2 diffrent postions, and is not a hard install.....way easyer than changing the plugs:roflblack: And NO the RT's are way way diffrent than a RS in sound and issues, RT's have a cat, and better 02 sensors so the sound level is way diffrent, it mainly just deepens and lowers the tone....It also weighs way les over 20lb less and doesn't hold near the heat, and will NOT have to be repacked in 3000 miles there good for atleast 20,000 to 30,000 miles an can go 50,000 We have a formula we worked with 2brothers on a RT-Performance Cowtown design that is working quiet well, Longer life, less heat and lower deeper sound, more like new vet or mustang, or RT challenger along those line's, alittle attitude but not obnoxious :doorag:

Thanks, Good to know about the exhaust. When you say 'WE' does that mean the intake is not user installable and should only be installed by Cowtown?

Did you guys ever put together self install instructions for this kit? I saw another post where you were asking what we wanted video or typed but never saw any confirmation it was done. If so can i get a copy to see if this is something I am willing to tackle myself?

I have a video of the TBR exhaust sound on the RT in my SteveMac Mods post. Very nice mellow sound! :)

the sound is not bad at all, it is just a little different than the stock exhaust but by no means loud. I have a Goldwing like I said and this is the wifes ride and it sounds great so don't let the sound of the muffler change anyones mind about the exhaust.

Honestly have mixed emotions about sending them out verses doing in-house installs...it's not complicated at all, just if it gets done wrong, then "I" get a bad wrap, lol. I designed it to work for what we are doing here at the shop and work with the other products...I think I need to open my own liitle spyder performance shop...lol not just for speed but for better overall preforming spyders, longer lasting better ride and handling:thumbup:...and cool paint and a few mods in-stock

Understand. I have become a mechanic for the first time in 25 years because of the Spyder and the cost of enjoying to ride. I have been doing oil changes, brakes and most recently plugs wires and air filter.

Maybe i will hit you up at Spyderfestand get the exhaust, intake and Elkas in April.:2excited::yes:

I just can't decide which shocks I want - I tend to ride my RT like it is an RS.:D

BR1 runs very well. As I have Cobras on my Motor Trike and love that sound, I was wondering how big of a deal is the installation of a Two Bros. muffler or some other brand. Additionally, is there any "retuning" that needs to be done by just adding a new muffler?

I am a mechanical klutz with a bad knee. Is installation difficult or should I have my dealer install it? (He is 50 miles away, but a fun ride)

Hey George
The Two Bros install is pretty straight forward. Your dealer can do it in about 30 minutes tops. I could do it in 45 min to an hour and that would include the 15 min it would take me to get up out of the floor!!! ;) ;)

Bolt on and ride. No mod or tuning required. Simple bolt on product.

Here is a link to a video of mine to demonstrate the sound.

Thanks, Steve. What model/part number do you have and are there more than one type for my RT?
