• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Low beam Bulbs

Has anyone had both low beam lamps stop working at the same time (in USA they would be Fog lamps) definately the bulbs, they are not burned or discoloured but both died at the same time, seems strange to me, anyon else had this.

Double check to make sure it's not a fuse burned out or a loose or bad relay.

Fuses and relays were the first thing I checked thinking surely not both bulbs at once, definately bulbs checked with resistance meter and connected directly across a 12v battery
If the bulbs are shot per test on a battery then I guess you'll just have to chalk it up to pure coincidence!

As said I now chalk it up to a coincidence, BUT what about the evil joker that that designed the air intake across the box on the L/H fog light, I can only consider someone seeing how nasty they can be. After twisting the tupperware out of the way releasing the top clip and pulling back the air intake, I still couldn't get the box off that was so clean on the outside what was it protecting and from what? so I struck a blow for sanity, I clipped the bottom clip off with a pair of side cutters and the box is not going back on.

If the bulb has an "O" ring where it goes into the lamp, and the plug is a waterproof connector, and it's so high up in the tupperware that nothing can slash on it, why does it need a box on it except for some neandathal designer to make life difficult.

I haven't looked at the fog lights yet, but if the design is similar to the headlights the lamp is not a sealed unit even if the bulb has an O ring on it. Hence you need the cover to keep dust from getting in and degrading the performance.

Put LEDs in there so you never have to do it again. I am still missing a fastener from my attempt on the driver side light....

I noticed that both of my fog lights were out but that doesn't necessarily mean they went out at the same time.

Also, Spyders are made by tiny little elves. :roflblack:

Our bulbs here are different to yours, both top and bottom lights are single filament HB3, as you push them in and twist they're waterproof and dust proof. Your foglights are our low beam.
