• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wow! Looks like you put them right in the hot air stream from the radiator and oil cooler?:(

Yes! Well, it was snowing out while I designed them so I thought that would keep my feet nice and warm!!!

OK, there is no getting around it, if you go out further, the hot air will just hit your ankle.

How different are the old RS to the new RT brackets?
Can the old be retro-fitted ?
If not can they be traded-in ?

highway peg installation

Matt will the RT need to be on a lift to install or can they be installed by using a set of car ramps to get the front end up off the ground some?

They are similar, but the RT brackets are 2 inches longer. If you cut your old brackets and weld in a 2 inch section, they would actually work. There are some other small differences. It would be easier to just buy a new set!

Looks great! How easy to install? Now can you move the brake lever?

They install much like the RS kewlmetal brackets. I won't have the official install instructions done for 2 more weeks or so but you can read through the RS bracket installation instructions to get an idea. http://www.kewlmetalstore.com/download/pdf/KD-245.pdf?osCsid=3a9e79389a9411002f68b01fca866898 You do have to remove the left side footpeg mount plate. That is so you can install a long bolt through the rear motor mount.

I picked up a set of the RT pegs from Mad Matt on Saturday. I just talked to my dealer, Desert Dog, Fountain Hills, Az., and we will install them on Wed while he has the panels off to do my 600 mile check. He looked at the brackets and does not plan on putting the Spyder on a lift to do the installation. I will take pictures of the install and post them on Wed PM.

I also installed my Zumo 550 GPS as per Matt's guidance. Unless you have access to an extensive hardware supply, I suggest you contact Matt for a kit as the grade 8 metric bolts and metric spacers are very hard to find.

Highway pegs

Thanks Matt and I will order today and expect to install either when they install the CB and XM or at the 600. My wife is already smiling since the deliveries have started. On the other hand she is already groaning about the stuff I am going to do to the RT.:D:2excited::clap::2thumbs::yes:
