RT Heated Grips

Before I get to the point of no return on replacing my grips....

Are the grips on the RT heated OR is it the rod underneath them? In other words, if I cut off the existing grips am I removing the heating element as well?

Every motorcycle, snowmobile, and ATV that I ever saw with heated grips; had the heating element contained in the rubber part that you're getting ready to remove. :yikes:
Give your dealer a call! He can certainly tell you what setup is used in your Spyder! :thumbup:

Under the rubber grip are strips that run the length of the grip that provide the heat.
But these are all built together and I know of no way to replace just the rubber grip part and I think the reason is you won't find anything else that fits the metal tube. e.g. no off the shelf grip is going to fit.

Most people put grips over the existing rubber grips.

So Can you Take OFF the stock F3 Grip and Install a For Example (BikeMaster) HEATED Grip or would that Not be possible?:dontknow:
