• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NOTE TO ALL: use FIREFOX as you browser, the pix are there... OR, look below, Bob posted them for us to see... THX Bob...

OK folks -
I'VE DONE IT...

i acquired an RT muffler from my local
SPYD3R dealer, and i've made an all new DYI MOD creation. to start off, i've eliminated a total of 7 inches of the center-body of the muffler, giving me that 'stubby' look i like so much. My mod could have been made without taking the 7 inches out... if that's what you like, it can be done.

First pix shows me cutting the beast into 2 pcs... 2nd pic shows the 2 halves... 3rd pic shows the cut at the aft end just fwd of the OEM weld... in pix 2 & 3 you'll see a section with 3 holes, this is the middle piece that was totally remove in the final edition... you'll also notice 'pipes' on the table... those were also eliminated in the final version... in pic #4, all 3 pcs. are shown, and the 'junk' that went into the trash can... pic #5 shows the 3 sections against the 'ruler', to give you an idea what/where to cut... pic. #6 shows what's in the fwd end... the little pipe, is to divert exhaust into a dead chamber... i relieved that chamber on the bottom to allow the exhaust to pass through - see the perf-core... next pic. #7 is post-weld (TIG)... looks ruff, but datz OK, we're not done yet... the piece at the bottom of the pic is the section i removed... post-paint, and pic. #8 shows the final results...

so, if you're interested in doing a DYI MOD on yours, my instructions are here, but what you do is up to you... i'm available for any/all questions... good luck, enjoy, and ryde safely....
now all i need is someboby with an RT to 'TEST DRIVE' this thing for me.... any volunteers...?
Picklehead, r u out there....???

UPDATE - OEM MUFFLER MOD

well, today PICKLEHEAD came over the house and we fitted the RT DYI-OEM MUFFLER MOD on his RT... i guess he liked it, b'kuz he wrote me out a check and rode off into the sunset with it on his SPYD3R...
the MOD has a bit of 'rumble' to it, but not too loud... all 3 of us agreed that the shorter unit looks far better than the stock configuration... and we shed 4 lbs in the process...
here's BIG BIRD doing his thing tying in the MOD...

Now how am I going to start any rumors about my GREAT new mod??? It rode great all the way home. Bigbird could hear it while he was in front of me when I got on it and when I down shifted at about 6000 rpm. He said he thought it was the BMW M3 riding next to him. PS. The wife said I can keep it.:2thumbs::ohyea::yes::firstplace::cheers: Thanks again and a great visit and lunch!

Glad to hear that this one is a success! :2thumbs:
Now for the $64,000 question: the cost??

TOO much work for what i'd feel right in charging...
i do stuff like this just for kicks... i'll give any/all info to any1 that wants to do there own... but i don't want to get into a production situation...
i'm sure u unda'stan Bob...
