RT CB Radio Problem Update

My dealer advised today: He talked to a BRP Tech guy on Wednesday and he said the fix is close to being released. The issue was in the CB and communication harness, and had to do with CANS signals and interference. They are waiting for the parts to be in stock before they officially make the release.

For what model years is Can Am waiting for on fix ?

I only know about 2013 and 2014 model years; so it could possibly involve other years. I did not have this issue on my 2012 RTS. The new entertainment harness will have more interference insulation and instead of a "dummy" plug in the (if unused) satellite radio plug/port the dummy plug will have "electronics" to make the bike think there is a satellite radio plugged in to the harness. The tech guy my dealer is talking to was an electronics/radio guru for one of the auto manufacturers. Somehow, the entertainment harness thinks something is wrong if both ports (CB and satellite radio) are not used.

It has been released. My 2014 Spyder was at the dealer today for the install but they found the brackets were both the same. A correct bracket has been ordered and should arrive tomorrow.
