• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT bulletin listing/as of 8/16/10

OK , see my post SERVICE BULLETIN DEFINITIONS..this will explain alot about how bulletins are posted to unit vin#s

Service bulletins...

Lamont, I notice that only some of the bulletins have been posted to the home page. Do you have access to all of them, and could you post copies of all?
Thanks,
Dave

Ok, This bulletin is not a recall or a safety claim but covers a new 3rd generation brake pad that helps eliminate excessive noise. BRP may cover these under warranty if a unit is low miles and still under warranty. Main thing here is that if you have a lot of brake noise there is a fix. The new BRP pads are updated with a vibration damper that rests against the back side of the caliper. Claims are being filed as follows.

1-Your brakes are making excessive noise
2-unit under warranty and miles are 3125 or under (parts and labor coverd)
3-unit under warranty between 3126-12500 miles (parts only)
4-On any spyder (GS,RS,RT) out of regular warranty=no coverage

Hope this helps , I am the service manager for a BRP dealer here in the Seattle area and I know there have been a lot of issues and questions from our Spyder customers. This site has been a great source for us as many issues that have come up I found here first. I will do my best to help you all out as best I can. Im limited on here with time so bare with me.

Jeff
Hi Jeff
Would this cover a 2012 RT also? I am getting tons of squeal and only 2400 miles roughly. Is there a bulletin number I can refer to if it is covered?
Thanks
Joe
