• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

At my dealer (Advantage Power Sports in N. Kansdas City)last week and he was kind enough to show me a catalog with all the new chrome accessories BRP will have available with the new 2011 model. Looks like all of will fit the 2010. You wouldn't believe the ammount of chrome trim and accessories they have. My dealer has ordered one of everything for his display area. They even have chrome to replace the alum. portion on the handle bars. Chrome foot pegs, the list goes on forever.

As we used to say... "If it don't go, chrome it!" :roflblack: I prefer not to have anything I have to polish, but I'm sure these will be popular...and expensive.

If it was grey or aluminum colored, its now black on mine. I went with the chrome for years and then polished aluminum. Way too much upkeep for my daily driver. I can see a lot of bike show spyders loading up on this stuff though.

I care less about chrome and body panel colors; the big change in 2011 models are the improved anti vibration (RS) and improved front suspension (RT).

There is a Spyder at the Chicago warehouse that has all the bling on it, including chrome rims. I hope to have pics for you all soon. :doorag:

I read on a thread on this forum that Nov 1 Brp will have all the 2011:spyder: acc. on their web site:clap:

Did somebody mention CHROME??? I'm gonna have to find someplace where I can sell some body parts that I ain't using!:roflblack:

(You Shoulda seen what I did to my GoldWing...:doorag:)

I am in total agreement with Scotty on this one. I like the idea of not having to spend time polishing to have a great looking bike. If I ever yearn for polishing something, I still have a Sportster and an '07 America that I can rub on. I'd rather ride than polish.
Just my opinion! :D

A Spyder Tech in Atlanta showed me some pics on his cell of a GS owned by some local rapper that had every surface chromed, if it is possible to chrome it. Pretty wild looking...

I'm with Scotty on this one. I'm interested in seeing all of it but much prefer the non chrome. Fact is, I have already blacked out the handle bar support center portion where it faces the instrument pannel in order to reduce the glare from the alum.
